This stove has a small threaded brass button for the pump plunger in addition to the traveling cap that can be attached to the pump rod in the standard manner.
These pics are from the seller, this stove is currently undergoing a good fettle.

This stove worked, but lost pressure within 15 seconds and went out. After replacing the heat-proofwashers (Thanks again, George), and replacing the missing lead washer on the NRV and finally the nitrile rubber washer on the tank cap, the stove came to life with a steady flame. I believe there are better examples of this stove here in the Gallery, but I didn't see the small brass button for the pump rod on the other examples.

Hello Bechtel, that nifty knob seems a lucky-found or purposely made knob, but the octagonal stop is the designated pump knob as was usual for several german pre-war designs.

Hi Matt, Interesting stove and nicely prepared and photographed.

However,Mike is I believe right. The correct combined pump knob/reserve cap for the Juwel No.21 is # 8749:

It seems your stove has been fitted with serarate, custom-made, pump knob and reserve cap, some time after the stove left the factory. Brass pump-knobs generally have knurling on them and it is likely that someone with a home lathe would not have a knurling tool.

Hi Mike and George,
Yes, I see what you mean. There is no mention of it at all in the parts list. The color of the brass is a perfect match in that's it's not more red or yellow. I've noticed that the alloy can be a different tone in some stoves. I've noticed it especially in my Burmos stoves...both being much more gold in color. It reminds me alot of the top nut of a pressure lantern. Maybe a past owner had a lantern that was headed for the scrap heap and added the nut to the stove. In any event, I like the little bugger. The original traveling cap and windshield are present.
George, thank you for posting that sheet! I'm going to print it and stuff it in the tin with the stove.
